Fitting-Only Service

Bought your blinds online or from another shop? Our fitters will put them up properly, so they hang level, work smoothly and stay put.

Fitter levelling a blind headrail
  • Level, secure and working

Every blind is fitted straight, fixed firmly and tested, so it runs smoothly from the first day.

  • Used to every kind of wall

Crumbly plaster, hard brick, concrete lintels and uPVC frames all need a different approach, and our fitters know how to handle each one.

  • Honest from the start

We check each blind against its window before we drill. If something isn't right, we'll tell you straight away.

  • Child-safety devices fitted

We fit any child-safety devices supplied with your blinds, such as chain tensioners, so they're secured properly.

  • Appointments that suit you

We can visit 7 days a week, at a time that works for you.

Buying blinds online or from a high-street shop can be a good way to get exactly the look you’re after. Putting them up is another matter. Brackets need to be perfectly level, fixings have to hold in walls that don’t always cooperate, and a few millimetres out can leave a blind that drifts to one side or catches on the frame. Our fitting-only service takes that job off your hands.

Our fitters have 20 years of experience putting up blinds in homes across Birmingham and the West Midlands, from Victorian terraces with old, soft plaster to new builds with concrete lintels. We’ll fit your blinds level and secure, and make sure they work as they should before we leave.

What’s included

When we fit your blinds, we:

  • check each blind against its window before drilling any holes
  • fix the brackets securely into your wall, ceiling or window frame
  • hang each blind and attach its controls
  • fit any child-safety devices supplied with the blind, such as chain tensioners
  • test that every blind raises, lowers and tilts properly
  • clear up after ourselves

If you’re not sure whether we can fit a particular blind, send us a link or a photo when you get in touch and ask.

A few honest points before you book

We fit the blind exactly as it’s been supplied to you. We can’t cut down, extend or remake a blind that has been made or bought in the wrong size.

What we will do is tell you straight away if something isn’t right. Because we check each blind against its window before we fit it, any problem, such as a blind that’s too wide for the recess, a missing bracket or a recess too shallow for the headrail, comes to light before we’ve drilled a hole. You can then decide what to do, rather than finding out once the blind is on the wall.

A few things help the visit go smoothly:

  • Check your order when it arrives. Make sure every blind, bracket and control is there, and that the sizes match what you ordered.
  • Know which way it was ordered. Online retailers usually ask whether a blind is for inside the recess or to cover the frame. Choosing the wrong one is a common reason a blind doesn’t fit, so tell us which you picked.
  • Keep everything together. Leave each blind with its own fittings until we arrive, so nothing goes missing.

If you’d rather start fresh

If a blind you’ve bought turns out to be the wrong size or isn’t quite what you hoped for, we can measure up for a made-to-measure blind instead. Have a look at our full range of blinds. The home measure and quote are free, with no obligation.

If you have blinds we supplied that need fixing, our blind repairs and re-fitting service is the place to start.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you’ve bought. Call or WhatsApp 07902 945533, or send us your details online. Let us know how many blinds you have, what type they are and where they’re going.
  2. Pick a time. We’ll call you back within 24 hours to arrange a visit on a day that suits you.
  3. We check, then fit. Our fitter checks each blind against its window, fixes the brackets and hangs the blinds.
  4. Tested and tidied. We make sure every blind works properly, show you how the controls work and leave the room as we found it.

You can read how our fitting-only service works on our terms page. If you have any questions before you book, just call or send us a message. We’d much rather help you get it right first time.

Questions

Fitting-Only Service: common questions

Anything else you'd like to know? Call or WhatsApp us on 07902 945533.

What if the blind turns out to be faulty?

Faults are for the retailer you bought it from to put right, so get in touch with them first. If we spot a problem when we unpack a blind, we'll show you before we fit anything.

Can you fit a blind I bought for a tilt-and-turn window?

Yes, as long as it can be fixed where it won't stop the window opening. We check the clearance before we fit and will tell you if the blind would get in the way. For these windows, Perfect Fit blinds that clip into the frame are often the neatest answer.

Can you fit curtain poles or tracks I've bought as well?

Ask us. Tell us what you have when you get in touch and we'll let you know whether we can fit it during the same visit.

Can you take my old blinds down at the same time?

Ask us when you book, and let us know how many there are, so we can allow time for it on the day.
