Roller blinds are the most popular blind we fit, and it’s easy to see why. They’re simple to use, take up almost no space when raised, and suit just about any window in the house. Choose a crisp white for a bright kitchen, a soft linen weave for the living room, or a bold pattern to give a plain room some personality.

Every roller blind we supply is made to measure. That matters more than it sounds. A blind cut to the exact width of your recess sits flush and straight, without the light gaps you get with off-the-shelf sizes. It also rolls evenly, without drifting to one side over time.

Choosing the right fabric

The fabric decides how a roller blind looks and how it behaves. When we visit, we bring a wide range of samples so you can see them against your own walls, floors and furniture, in your own light.

  • Light-filtering fabrics let daylight through while softening glare and giving you daytime privacy. They’re a lovely choice for living rooms and kitchens.
  • Dim-out fabrics are denser, cutting glare on TV and computer screens and making rooms noticeably darker.
  • Blackout fabrics block light completely. If that’s what you need, our blackout and thermal blinds are designed for exactly that.
  • Wipe-clean and moisture-resistant fabrics are made for kitchens and utility rooms. For bathrooms, see our waterproof blinds.

Recess or exact fit?

Most roller blinds are fitted inside the window recess. This gives a neat, built-in look and leaves the windowsill free. If your recess is shallow, or you’d like a small window to feel larger, we can fit the blind outside the recess so it overlaps the frame and blocks more light around the edges.

For tilt-and-turn and uPVC windows, a Perfect Fit roller blind clips straight into the window frame with no drilling at all.

Questions

Roller Blinds: common questions

Anything else you'd like to know? Call or WhatsApp us on 07902 945533.

Are roller blinds suitable for kitchens?

Yes. We have wipe-clean and moisture-resistant fabrics that cope well with steam and splashes. For windows right above a sink or hob, our waterproof roller blinds are the safest choice.

Can a roller blind block out all the light?

A standard roller blind softens light rather than blocking it. If you need a dark room, take a look at our blackout blinds, which use a fully light-blocking fabric.

How long does fitting take?

Most homes are fitted in a single visit. Fitting is included in your quote, and we tidy up before we leave.

Can I have a roller blind without a chain?

Yes. Spring-assisted cordless roller blinds are raised and lowered by hand, with no chains or cords at all, which makes them ideal for children's rooms.
